Hoffman Estates, IL – Residents interested in learning lifesaving emergency skills have an opportunity to attend a Heartsaver CPR/AED course hosted by the Hoffman Estates Fire Department later this month.
According to the Village of Hoffman Estates, the class will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hoffman Estates Fire Station #24, located at 5775 Beacon Pointe Drive.
The course is designed for individuals with little to no medical training who want to learn how to respond during cardiac and choking emergencies. Participants will receive instruction on when to call 911, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and provide relief for choking victims.
The cost of the course is $50 per person.
Officials said pre-registration is required, and class sizes are limited. The registration deadline is Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
Residents can register by calling the Hoffman Estates Fire Department Administration Office at 847-843-4825. Additional information about the course is available at hoffmanestates.org/CPR.
The fire department encourages community members to consider CPR and AED training, noting that immediate bystander intervention during a cardiac emergency can improve survival before first responders arrive.
