Burlington, VT – The National Weather Service in Burlington reports gusty southerly winds developing this morning across northern New York and northwestern Vermont, with peak gusts up to 45 mph expected through the afternoon.

The strongest winds will occur between 10 AM and 4 PM, particularly along the northern slopes of the Adirondacks, the Highway 11 corridor, and areas around Lake Champlain.

The winds could cause scattered power outages, downed tree limbs, and challenging travel for high-profile vehicles. Additionally, bursts of snow showers in the Adirondacks may briefly reduce visibility.

Motorists are urged to use caution, secure loose outdoor items, and be prepared for changing visibility throughout the day.
