Green Bay, WI – Dense fog blanketed central and northern Wisconsin Monday morning, creating hazardous conditions for commuters across the Fox Valley. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m., with visibility dropping to a quarter-mile or less in some areas.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the dense fog redeveloped around daybreak and is expected to clear gradually as temperatures rise. Drivers are urged to use low beams, increase following distances, and drive cautiously to avoid sudden visibility changes. Areas like Green Bay, Appleton, and Wausau could see the most significant impacts during peak commute hours.

Looking ahead, conditions will remain active throughout the week. Monday will bring patchy fog and light showers, with temperatures peaking near 41 degrees. By Tuesday, partly sunny skies and cooler temperatures are expected, with highs in the low 30s.

Midweek, light snow may cause slippery travel conditions across northeast Wisconsin. The NWS forecasts snow developing late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, particularly for regions north and west of Green Bay. High temperatures will hover around 30 degrees, with nighttime lows dipping into the teens.

Thursday poses additional concerns, with heavier snow possible during the afternoon and evening. Commuters should prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility during these periods.

Travelers are encouraged to monitor forecasts closely and allow extra time for commutes. Stay updated with local weather reports and prepare for shifting conditions, especially as fog and snow create challenges throughout the week.
