Green Bay, Wis. – Rain is soaking much of Wisconsin this Wednesday, bringing gusty winds and keeping temperatures stuck in the 50s across much of the state. Near the Michigan border, however, conditions may remain drier.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, east to northeast winds could gust up to 25 mph today, creating blustery and chilly conditions across central and eastern Wisconsin. High temperatures will range from 49 to 58 degrees, especially cool near Lake Michigan.
Dry weather returns Thursday, with skies gradually clearing and daytime highs inching into the low 60s. Still, central and northern counties should prepare for frost potential starting early Friday morning and lasting into the weekend. Cities such as Wausau, Rhinelander, and parts of the Northwoods could see near-freezing lows under clearing skies.
Residents are urged to cover sensitive plants and avoid leaving pets or electronics outdoors overnight. Travelers should also prepare for slick roads today and strong crosswinds on open highways.
Temperatures are expected to warm slowly into the weekend, with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s by Sunday. Additional advisories may be issued as frost conditions develop later in the week.
