Moses Lake, WA – A 30-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon in Grant County following an investigation into firearm violations and an alleged assault, authorities said.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, deputies took Colby Ralton of Moses Lake into custody at a home in the 4800 block of Stratford Road Northeast. He is facing investigation for unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, and fourth-degree assault.
Authorities say Ralton, a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing firearms, allegedly struck a victim multiple times during an incident reported on Tuesday, April 29. Deputies later located and arrested him at the residence without incident.
During the arrest, deputies reportedly recovered a stolen firearm believed to be connected to the case. The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the victim or the extent of injuries sustained in the alleged assault.
Ralton was booked into the Grant County Jail following his arrest and is being held pending further legal proceedings. Charges are expected to be reviewed by prosecutors as the investigation continues.
