Grant County, WA – A Coulee City man was arrested late Monday night after allegedly threatening two people and arming himself with a rifle, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a home on Road 36 Northeast around 10:40 p.m. after a woman requested a welfare check on a friend she hadn’t heard from in about a week. While en route, dispatchers received another 911 call from the same residence, where the caller said she was arguing with Ramon Noggles, who allegedly threatened to shoot her.

According to deputies, dispatchers heard a male voice in the background saying he would shoot anyone who approached. The woman escaped to safety and reported seeing Noggles holding a .22-caliber rifle.

As officers were responding, Noggles allegedly sent threatening text messages to a woman in Moses Lake, stating he would kill her. The Moses Lake Police Department assisted with the investigation of those threats.

Deputies surrounded the home and negotiated with Noggles, who was taken into custody without further incident. The 52-year-old was booked into the Grant County Jail on charges of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, harassment or threats to kill, stalking, and first-degree burglary–domestic violence.

Authorities remind residents that help is available for those experiencing domestic violence. In Grant and Adams counties, victims can contact New Hope at 888-560-6027 or local law enforcement.

The investigation remains ongoing.
