Grand Rapids, MI – Strong winds and scattered snow showers will move into Grand Rapids on Wednesday, making for difficult travel conditions in the region.

According to the NWS, gusty northwest winds up to 31 mph and a chance of snow showers could cause slick roads, particularly along and north of I-96. Drivers should allow extra time for travel.

Wednesday’s high will reach 34°F under partly sunny skies, but wind chills will make it feel much colder. Overnight, expect a low of 18°F with calmer winds. The weather remains quiet through Thursday before another storm system brings rain and freezing rain late Thursday night.

As the weekend approaches, temperatures will fluctuate, with highs in the 30s and a chance of snow showers by Sunday.

Residents should prepare for changing road conditions and check local forecasts for real-time updates.
