Frost Advisory Issued for Central and Western Oklahoma Thursday Morning

Norman, OK – The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for portions of central, northern, northwestern, southwestern, and western Oklahoma, in effect from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. CST on Thursday. Areas included in the advisory cover cities such as Enid, Stillwater, Weatherford, and Ponca City.

Temperatures are expected to drop as low as 32 degrees, potentially leading to frost formation. According to the National Weather Service, frost could damage or kill sensitive outdoor plants if left unprotected.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to protect tender vegetation by covering plants or bringing them indoors where possible.
