Ojai, CA – A freeze warning is in effect for Ojai Valley from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. PST Wednesday, as temperatures are forecasted to drop as low as 28 degrees.

The National Weather Service issued the alert Tuesday evening, urging residents in areas like Oak View and Ojai to prepare for frost and freezing conditions. These temperatures could harm crops, sensitive vegetation, and outdoor plumbing if left unprotected.

Residents are advised to take immediate precautions, including covering plants, wrapping outdoor faucets, and allowing pipes to drip to prevent freezing. Pets should be brought indoors or provided with warm, secure shelter.

The cold spell is expected to lift by mid-morning Wednesday, but officials recommend staying updated on local forecasts as the region may face additional freezes later this winter.
