Phoenix, AZ – Freeze warnings remain in place for several areas in Arizona, including San Carlos, Globe/Miami, the Parker Valley, and the Gila River Valley, as sub-freezing temperatures are expected overnight into Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s in these regions, with the warnings in effect from midnight to 9 a.m. MST Wednesday. Communities such as Casa Grande, Florence, Parker, and Blythe (California) are also included in the alert.
Frost and freeze conditions pose a significant risk to crops, sensitive vegetation, and outdoor plumbing. Residents are encouraged to protect plants by covering them, ensure pets have access to warm shelter, and safeguard plumbing by wrapping exposed pipes or allowing faucets to drip.
This prolonged period of cold may lead to additional warnings later in the week as winter conditions persist. Residents in the affected areas should monitor forecasts and take precautions to minimize potential damage.
