Hanford, CA – A Freeze Warning remains in effect for portions of the Central Valley, including Fresno, Visalia, Bakersfield, and surrounding areas, from early Tuesday morning until 9 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Hanford.

The warning, issued at 6:19 p.m. Monday, predicts sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29°F. Affected regions include agricultural hubs such as Hanford, Merced, and Los Banos. Frost and freezing conditions are expected to pose a risk to sensitive crops, vegetation, and outdoor plumbing.

Residents and farmers are urged to take precautions, such as covering plants, insulating exposed pipes, and ensuring outdoor animals are sheltered.

The cold snap is forecasted to persist through Wednesday morning, with overnight lows dropping below freezing both Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Officials recommend planning ahead to minimize impacts on agriculture and outdoor infrastructure.

This warning follows several days of cooling temperatures, marking a shift from earlier seasonal norms. For updated weather alerts, monitor local news and the National Weather Service’s website.
