Kankakee, IL – A local nonprofit is making Christmas brighter by offering free holiday meals at ten Kankakee County locations.

The event, hosted by Christmas Day, Inc., takes place on Wednesday, December 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a catered feast from The Bennett-Curtis House, featuring turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, and pie.

Locations include The Grow Center in Bourbonnais, Kankakee Civic Auditorium, and First Baptist Church in Momence, among others. Families are encouraged to attend the site closest to their home. Reservations are required by Friday, December 20, and can be made by calling (815) 614-2697 during business hours.

“Don’t spend Christmas alone,” organizers urge, emphasizing the event is open to anyone in need of companionship or a warm meal.

This holiday tradition aims to unite the community and ensure no one goes hungry or feels isolated during the season.
