Frankfort, IL – Frankfort’s annual Christkindl Weekend returns on Saturday and Sunday, December 14-15, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in downtown Frankfort. This festive event offers free family-friendly activities that promise to fill the season with holiday cheer.

Guests can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, visit real reindeer, and enjoy holiday music from live carolers. Trackless train rides and horse-drawn wagon rides provide additional charm. Attendees can also participate in a lantern parade and cozy up by a bonfire while listening to a holiday story.

According to the Village of Frankfort, the event will feature performances of “The Nutcracker” and ornament-making crafts. Local boutiques and specialty shops will stay open to offer holiday gift options. Restaurants will serve festive seasonal dishes and warm drinks.

Frankfort’s decorated streets create a picturesque holiday setting, inviting visitors to explore its many attractions. Organizers encourage families to join the fun, describing it as “a scene straight out of a Hallmark holiday movie.”
