Aurora, IL – On Wednesday afternoon, a bomb threat at Round 1 Fox Valley in Aurora prompted a significant police response and the temporary closure of a portion of the popular shopping center.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. when the Aurora Police Department received a report of a potential bomb threat. Out of an abundance of caution, authorities swiftly closed the eastern portion of the shopping center while police patrol and investigations units, assisted by an ATF bomb dog, conducted a thorough search of the area.
According to the Aurora Police Department, after a comprehensive investigation, no credible threat was found, and the shopping center was deemed safe. The affected area has since reopened, and business operations have resumed as normal. Police emphasized that they take all threats seriously and expressed their gratitude for the community’s understanding and cooperation during the incident.
