Fort Worth, TX – Texans are urged to prepare for an intense heatwave that will persist through the weekend, with temperatures soaring into the triple digits. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for much of North and Central Texas, warning that heat indices could reach between 108°F and 113°F on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, Friday’s highs will range from 100°F to 105°F across the region, with similarly scorching temperatures expected through the weekend. Areas like Dallas-Fort Worth, Waco, and Killeen are forecasted to hit highs of 103°F to 105°F, while other cities may not be far behind. With relative humidity remaining low, the risk of grass fires is elevated, particularly west of I-35.

Residents are advised to take precautions to stay cool and hydrated, limiting time outdoors during peak heat hours. The National Weather Service also highlights the importance of recognizing heat-related illness symptoms, such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke, and urges individuals to take frequent breaks in shaded areas.
