Fort Worth, TX – North Texas residents can expect a mix of weather conditions as a weak cold front moves through the region on Friday. The front is expected to bring isolated to scattered showers and storms, primarily during the afternoon and evening hours. Areas from Waco to Killeen have the highest chances of experiencing storm activity, with gusty winds and frequent lightning likely. However, not all areas will see rain.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, a heat advisory remains in effect through 9 PM Friday. The heat index is forecasted to reach up to 110°F, with afternoon highs climbing to 101°F. Residents are advised to take precautions, including staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during peak heat, and never leaving children or pets unattended in vehicles.

Looking ahead, the forecast shows little relief from the heat. Temperatures are expected to rise over the weekend, with highs reaching 96°F on Saturday and nearly 100°F by Sunday. Early next week, the heat will intensify further, with Monday and Tuesday expected to see highs exceeding 100°F.
