Brandon, FL – A homicide investigation is underway in Brandon after a 64-year-old woman was fatally stabbed early Monday morning. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:40 a.m. reporting that the woman had sustained a stab wound. Deputies arrived promptly, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Sheriff Chad Chronister, detectives are actively investigating the incident and working tirelessly to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible. “Our hearts ache for the loss of this victim, and our thoughts are with her loved ones during this difficult time,” Chronister said. “We won’t rest until we bring justice to the victim and her family.”
Authorities have indicated that this appears to be an isolated incident, with no immediate threat to the public. However, the investigation remains ongoing, and detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting HCSO at 813-247-8200.
