Miami, FL – South Florida will see mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures through the weekend, but swimmers should remain cautious as a moderate rip current risk persists along the coast.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Miami, rip currents along Gulf and Palm Beach County beaches are expected to continue through Monday. The strongest risks will be near Deerfield Beach, Ocean Reef, and coastal Miami-Dade County. Swimmers and beachgoers should heed all posted warnings and avoid swimming in unguarded areas.
Wednesday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high of 75°F, followed by a slight chance of showers Wednesday night. Winds will shift eastward at 7 mph. Thursday and Friday will remain mostly sunny, with highs in the mid-70s. Nighttime lows will stay in the mid-to-upper 60s.
Heading into the weekend, temperatures will climb to the upper 70s, with light winds and partly cloudy skies. While conditions on land will be ideal, the NWS warns that rip currents may persist, creating dangerous swimming conditions.
Beach visitors should check local advisories before entering the water. Authorities urge swimmers to remain near lifeguards and avoid deep waters where rip currents are strongest.
