Tampa, FL – A line of scattered showers and isolated storms is expected to impact Florida’s Nature Coast late Sunday into early Monday, bringing the potential for severe weather, including tornadoes.

According to the National Weather Service Tampa Bay, gusty winds, hail, and an isolated tornado or waterspout are possible as storms move through the region Sunday night. Areas most at risk include northern portions of the Nature Coast, with isolated thunderstorms expected further south.

The Storm Prediction Center has placed parts of Florida under a Level 2 severe weather risk, meaning isolated severe storms could develop. While widespread severe weather is not expected, residents should remain alert to rapidly changing conditions.

Those in affected areas should secure outdoor items, have multiple ways to receive weather warnings, and be prepared for sudden strong winds or possible tornadoes. The storm system is expected to move out of the region by early Monday morning.
