Tallahassee, Florida – High temperatures near 95°F will grip Tallahassee by Friday as a stretch of dry, sunny weather locks in across North Florida this week.
According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a hot spring pattern begins Wednesday with morning fog and highs approaching 89°F. By Friday and Saturday, the region will sizzle under mostly sunny skies and highs soaring to 95°F. The heat, paired with calm early winds, could create minor visibility issues on rural roads like US-319 and FL-20 due to patchy fog each morning before 8 a.m.
Drivers should stay alert during early commutes and remain hydrated through the afternoon heat. Wind speeds will stay light—between 5 to 10 mph—offering little relief from rising temps.
By Thursday, highs climb into the low 90s and will remain there through Monday. Overnight lows will hover around 70°F, providing only limited nighttime cooling. Air conditioning use is expected to spike across Leon, Wakulla, and Gadsden counties, especially heading into the weekend.
No rain is in sight through Monday, and wildfire risk may increase if dry conditions persist. Residents are urged to limit outdoor burns and monitor fire alerts.
Looking Ahead:
- Wednesday: Patchy fog early, then sunny, high near 89°F
- Thursday–Saturday: Mostly sunny and hot, highs 91–95°F
- Sunday–Monday: Continued heat, dry with highs in the mid-90s
