According to the National Weather Service, Brooksville faces a 90% chance of thunderstorms, Lakeland 80%, and both Fort Myers and Tampa at 60%. Sarasota has a 40% chance. Potential impacts include gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall.

The extended forecast for Tampa shows a persistent threat of rain. Showers are expected to continue through Saturday and Sunday, each with a 45% chance of rain. Monday and Tuesday bring a slightly higher probability of 50%, while Wednesday shows a 40% chance. Temperatures will remain in the high 80s to low 90s throughout this period, with nighttime lows in the mid-70s.
