Miami, Florida – Floridians could notice a more springlike feel returning late next week as a warmer-than-normal pattern sets up across the Sunshine State, bringing mild mornings and above-average afternoon temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center, Florida is expected to trend above normal in temperatures from Saturday through the following Friday as cold air remains locked well north of the Southeast. The pattern favors persistent southerly flow and limited intrusions of true winter air.
In South Florida, including Miami and Fort Lauderdale, daytime highs may climb into the upper 70s and low 80s, with overnight lows staying milder than typical for late January. Humidity levels may also tick up slightly, especially during afternoon hours.
Across Central Florida, including Orlando and the Interstate 4 corridor, above-normal temperatures could push highs into the mid to upper 70s, creating favorable conditions for outdoor activities. Morning fog may develop at times due to warmer air over cooler ground, particularly in inland areas.
Along the Gulf Coast, including Tampa and Sarasota, the warmer pattern supports comfortable afternoons and mild evenings, though sea breezes could keep immediate coastal spots slightly cooler.
With no significant cold fronts expected, the warm trend appears steady through the end of the month. Additional updates will follow if changes develop, but confidence remains high in a prolonged stretch of above-normal temperatures across Florida.
