Florida – A warm, humid breeze is setting the stage for building showers and stronger storms, with conditions expected to shift quickly across Miami by late Sunday into Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances begin near 20% Sunday before increasing to 50% Monday, when showers and thunderstorms become more likely. Winds will also strengthen, with gusts reaching up to 24 mph by Monday night as a more active pattern develops.

Through today, Miami stays mostly sunny with highs near 81°F, temps remain favorable for outdoor plans, though humidity will be noticeable. By Sunday afternoon, a few isolated showers may develop, but most areas remain dry.

The bigger concern arrives Monday. Showers increase late morning, followed by thunderstorms into the afternoon and evening. Roadways including I-95, U.S. 1, and the Dolphin Expressway could see brief downpours, reduced visibility, and slick conditions. Plan extra travel time and avoid flooded streets.

Winds shift out of the northeast and become gusty by Monday night. This may impact high-profile vehicles and create choppy conditions near coastal roadways and bridges.

Conditions begin to settle by Tuesday, though a slight chance of lingering showers remains early. Highs cool into the upper 70s with breezy conditions continuing. By midweek, a more stable pattern returns with partly sunny skies and seasonable temperatures.
