Melbourne, FL – Central Florida residents should prepare for windy conditions, rough surf, and falling temperatures as a cold front impacts the region. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory along the I-4 corridor and a moderate rip current risk for area beaches.

According to the National Weather Service, gusts could reach 40 mph near the coast tonight, creating hazardous conditions for small crafts and swimmers. Low temperatures in the upper 30s to mid-40s are expected inland, with wind chills making it feel even colder. Residents in Brevard, Volusia, and Flagler counties are urged to avoid swimming and boating due to rough seas and strong currents.

Rainfall will taper off Wednesday morning, with most areas seeing totals of 0.5 to 1 inch. Daytime highs will reach near 60 degrees but stay breezy with north winds at 15-20 mph. A 40% chance of rain remains Wednesday night before skies clear later in the week.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday will bring cooler temperatures, with lows near 42 degrees Thursday night and highs peaking in the mid-50s Friday. Conditions will improve for the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures climbing to the low 60s by Saturday.

Stay updated on local weather conditions by checking forecasts regularly. Coastal residents should secure loose items and monitor advisories for beach safety and boating restrictions.
