Florence, Ore. — Deputies arrested three people during a burglary investigation search warrant Wednesday morning in Florence.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assigned to the Special Response Team (SRT) served a search warrant around 7 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at a residence in the 2200 block of 12th Street. The warrant was part of an investigation into multiple burglaries and thefts across western Lane County, authorities said.

Investigators said the warrant was authorized by a West Lane district deputy after gathering evidence linking the residence to several property crimes. The SRT assisted with the operation because the primary suspect, Jason Scott Sprinkle, 35, of Florence, had allegedly attempted to flee and assault deputies during previous encounters.

As deputies approached the property, Sprinkle allegedly attempted to run from the residence on foot while armed with a knife. Authorities said K9 Rip initially pursued him before a detective positioned on the perimeter deployed a Taser. Sprinkle dropped the knife and was taken into custody without further incident.

During the search of the property, deputies reported finding stolen items connected to several cases, along with additional construction materials and tools that appeared suspicious but were not immediately tied to a specific report.

Following the investigation, three suspects were arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail.

Sprinkle faces multiple charges including first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, possession of a stolen vehicle, failure to report as a sex offender, and parole violations related to a prior conviction for assault on a public safety officer. He also had outstanding warrants from Jackson County and Florence Municipal Court, according to authorities.

Skyla Aireann Wardrobe, 29, of Mapleton, was arrested on charges including first-degree theft, second-degree burglary, and second-degree criminal mischief.

Kurt Dillon Eskildsen, 34, of Florence, was arrested on a Douglas County warrant for second-degree trespass.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said the Florence Police Department and Oregon State Police assisted in the operation.

The case may be of interest to students and young workers in Florence, as property crimes often target tools, vehicles, and construction materials used for work or school transportation.
