First-Degree Murder Charges Filed Against Iroquois County Man Following Family Tragedy

Beaverville, IL – A man was jailed in Iroquois County Sunday after being arrested at his home. Anthony Esposito, 54, faces first-degree murder charges for the death of a family member.

According to the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a welfare check at 129 S. Bower Road in Beaverville on Sunday. Authorities reported that Esposito met the deputy on arrival. After a brief conversation, officers discovered that a family member of Esposito’s had died inside the residence.

An immediate investigation was launched, leading to Esposito’s arrest. The sheriff’s office has not yet released details about the cause of death or the identity of the victim.

Esposito was taken to the Iroquois County Jail and officially charged with first-degree murder.
