Fatal Semi vs Motorcycle Crash in Indiana: 70-Year-Old Motorcyclist Killed

Daviess County, IN – A fatal accident claimed the life of a motorcyclist in Daviess County on Monday. According to officials, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of CR 600 North and CR 100 West. The crash involved a semi-truck and a motorcycle.

Authorities say the semi-truck failed to stop at a stop sign and pulled into the path of the motorcycle, leading to the fatal collision. The motorcycle rider, identified as 70-year-old Lester Linneweber of Washington, was critically injured. He was immediately transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary investigations indicate that drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing to determine if other factors contributed to the collision.
