Nashua, N.H. — A pedestrian died early Thursday after being struck by a vehicle on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua. The collision occurred around 5:30 a.m. near mile marker 5.2 on the northbound side of the highway.
According to New Hampshire State Police, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian in the road. Upon arrival, they found an adult male who had been hit by a Ford F-150. The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries, and the driver of the truck stayed at the scene.
Authorities shut down the northbound lanes for several hours for an investigation. Troopers were assisted by the Nashua Police Department, Nashua Fire Rescue, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The crash remains under investigation.
