Cottage Grove, OR — A single-vehicle crash on Row River Road claimed one life Tuesday night, prompting an investigation by Lane County Sheriff’s deputies. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near the 34500 block of Row River Road.
According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved a 1992 Toyota pickup that veered off the road and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on top of the driver, who had been ejected. Responding deputies and fire personnel confirmed the driver’s death at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with authorities examining potential factors such as road conditions and vehicle mechanics. The sheriff’s office withheld the driver’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
