LOWELL, IN – A fatal single-car crash unfolded early Sunday in Lowell.
According to Lake County Sheriff’s Department reports it happened at 3:16 a.m. when officers rushed to the scene of a wreck at 1903 Belshaw Rd.
Preliminary findings from the Lake County Traffic Reconstruction Units report an eastbound SUV veered off the road, colliding head-on with a tree. The vehicle’s occupants, all young individuals, ranged in age 16 to 20 years old.
The driver was identified as an 18-year-old. No identification has been released on any of the victims.
