Fairplay, CO – Authorities are seeking public assistance after an arson incident at the Park County Fairgrounds in Fairplay on August 6. The fire destroyed several portable restrooms and a storage container, causing significant damage.
According to the Park County Sheriff’s Office, the blaze occurred around 9:31 PM at 800 Bogue Street. Investigators believe the fire started earlier, with multiple restrooms set deliberately on fire. The estimated damage amounts to several thousand dollars.
A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible. Detective Fowler, who is leading the investigation, urges anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
