Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop from late morning into the afternoon, mainly affecting areas south of I-75, known as Alligator Alley. The storms are forecast to be slow-moving, increasing the risk of localized flooding, particularly in regions with poor drainage or those that have recently experienced heavy rainfall.

According to the National Weather Service Miami, rain chances are highest in the southern parts of Florida, with Homestead seeing an 83% chance of precipitation, Flamingo at 79%, and Miami at 67%. Northern areas, such as Palmdale and Clewiston, have lower chances of rain, with 16% and 23% respectively.

Temperatures will remain high despite the rain, with many areas reaching the low 90s. Immokalee is expected to hit the day’s peak at 94°F, while coastal cities like Miami and Fort Lauderdale will see temperatures close to 90°F.
