MAYWOOD, IL – Former Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots player, Sergio Brown, found himself in the crosshairs of law enforcement as he was apprehended on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, while re-entering the U.S. from Mexico.

San Diego Police’s Threat Management Unit arrested Brown on grounds of a First-Degree Murder warrant concerning the death of his mother, Myrtle Brown.

This haunting story began unfolding on September 16, 2023, when both the Browns went missing. A search at their Maywood residence led to the grim discovery of Mrs. Brown’s body near a nearby creek.
