
Elmhurst, IL – A series of coordinated thefts in Elmhurst results in multiple arrests.
According to Elmhurst Police reports, officers successfully apprehended five individuals linked to three separate retail theft incidents on the evening of Friday, March 15, 2024, totaling felony charges. The first arrest occurred at Kohl’s on S. IL Rt 83, where two men were reportedly caught stealing $1,300 worth of fragrances. Ronald Brito-Padilla and Erick Quevedo-Nino, both residing in Chicago, face alleged charges including Burglary and Retail Theft.
Shortly after, Robert E. Martin was stopped on IL Rt 83 & I-290, leading to his arrest related to an alleged previous theft at Shoe Carnival and additional traffic-related charges. The evening’s arrests concluded at Jewel-Osco on S. York Street, where Michael B. Howard and Myron Edwards were detained for allegedly stealing $1,200 in liquor, facing multiple felony charges.
All individuals have been taken to DuPage County Jail pending their First Appearance Court at the DuPage County Judicial Center, reminding the community of the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
