Marion, IN – An Indiana State Police vehicle was struck Tuesday night while assisting with an abandoned vehicle in Marion, resulting in one man’s arrest.

Trooper Brock Green had positioned his patrol car near Pennsylvania Avenue and Lincoln Boulevard around 9 p.m., with emergency lights on to alert oncoming drivers. While he monitored the scene, his vehicle was hit by a 2000 Mercury Sable driven by Charles E. Marks, 75, of Gas City.
