Pittsburgh, PA – Residents in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania should brace for the possibility of damaging winds this afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a severe weather outlook for Wednesday, predicting potential thunderstorms and high wind gusts.

According to the NWS Pittsburgh, the risk of thunderstorms developing remains low, but if they do occur, they could bring damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, and lightning. The affected areas include eastern Ohio, northern West Virginia, and southwest Pennsylvania. The period of concern is from 2 PM to 10 PM.

Today’s forecast predicts dry conditions for most of the day with temperatures reaching above normal levels. However, there is a conditional threat of severe weather later in the afternoon.

Thursday’s forecast shows slightly cooler temperatures, with highs around 89°F and partly cloudy skies. By Friday, there is a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, continuing into Saturday with a 45% chance. The weather pattern remains unsettled through the weekend, with temperatures dropping to the low 80s.

Sunday and Monday will see a mix of sun and clouds, with temperatures in the mid-80s. The potential for thunderstorms returns on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a 30% chance of rain and highs in the low 80s. The extended forecast indicates a gradual clearing by next Thursday.
