Durham County, NC – Deputies are investigating a shooting in Durham County Monday afternoon that left one person injured and hospitalized, according to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 6000 block of Burgundy Road on Monday afternoon after receiving reports of a shooting. Investigators said one person was injured during the incident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities said deputies have identified a person of interest in connection with the investigation. Officials also emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public as detectives continue gathering evidence.
