Westmont, IL – A fire at Westmont Manor Health and Rehab Center early Wednesday morning led to a significant emergency response and road closures. The blaze, which erupted in the two-story nursing home located on the 500 block of East Ogden Avenue, forced the closure of the westbound lanes on East Ogden Avenue, causing traffic disruptions on the border of Westmont and Downers Grove.
According to local authorities, multiple emergency units responded to the fire, including additional engines and trucks requested to contain the situation. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and there have been no reports of injuries at this time.
