Streamwood, IL – A Streamwood man accused of allegedly sexually assaulting a one-year-old girl and producing child pornography will remain in custody following a court ruling on Friday. DuPage County Judge Joshua Dieden granted the State’s motion to deny pre-trial release for Cruz Estanislao, 24, of the 100 block of Nettle Lane.
According to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, Estanislao was arrested on August 29 after an investigation by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Hanover Park Police Department. Authorities allege that Estanislao created and distributed videos of the assault on a messaging app. He faces multiple felony charges and is scheduled for arraignment on September 23.
The public is reminded that charges are not proof of guilt, and Estanislao is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
