Oak Brook police officers apprehended the pair shortly after. Both were charged with one count of burglary and one count of retail theft, and later released on their own recognizance with a court date set for January 5, 2026.
Later that night, at approximately 8:27 p.m., Michael Howard, 44, allegedly stole more than $1,500 in alcohol, toiletries and other merchandise from the Jewel-Osco at 125 E. Stearns Road in Bartlett.
