Wheaton, IL – Four Chicago residents were charged this weekend in connection with three separate retail theft incidents reported across DuPage County, authorities said Monday.

According to the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, the first case occurred Saturday, November 30, 2025, when Nadiia Klikavka, 38, and Tares Klikavka, 43, allegedly entered the Macy’s at 1 Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook around 12:20 p.m., selected clothing valued at approximately $664, and fled without paying. Oak Brook police officers apprehended the pair shortly after. Both were charged with one count of burglary and one count of retail theft, and later released on their own recognizance with a court date set for January 5, 2026.

Later that night, at approximately 8:27 p.m., Michael Howard, 44, allegedly stole more than $1,500 in alcohol, toiletries and other merchandise from the Jewel-Osco at 125 E. Stearns Road in Bartlett. Police said Howard, who is currently on pre-trial release for a separate 2025 retail theft case and on probation for a 2024 theft, was taken into custody shortly afterward. Although the new charges were designated non-detainable, a judge granted the State’s motion to revoke his earlier pre-trial release. His next court date is December 17, 2025.

In a third case, authorities allege that on November 29, 2025, Larone Murray, 42, stole approximately $1,615 in cosmetics from the Walgreens at 160 N. Palmer Drive in Elmhurst and later fled in a Pontiac Aztec. Police located the vehicle multiple times during attempted traffic stops, but officers terminated the pursuits for safety reasons. Murray was arrested the next morning outside the SpringHill Suites after surveillance. Officers allegedly found 1.02 grams of heroin inside the vehicle. His next court date is December 22, 2025.
