Duluth, Minnesota – Weekend plans in northeastern Minnesota could get soggy, with scattered storms and cooler temperatures expected through Sunday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, skies will clear Friday night, but showers may linger along the International Border. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, with isolated storms likely in northern counties such as Koochiching and northern St. Louis. Highs will range from 61°F to 71°F, dipping to the mid-40s overnight.

Sunday brings another round of scattered showers and possible thunderstorms, especially across NW MN and along the Canadian border. Cooler air will keep highs in the mid-50s to mid-60s, with lows dropping to the 40s. Roads like U.S. Highway 53 and MN-11 may be slick at times, so drivers should remain alert.

By Monday, skies will begin to clear as conditions turn drier and slightly warmer. Residents are advised to check for weather alerts if traveling near border towns like International Falls or Grand Marais.

Showers and storms are expected to taper off late Sunday night. More stable conditions should return by early next week.
