Orchard Park, NY – Two deputies were struck by a truck while directing traffic after Sunday night’s Bills game. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Big Tree Road and Abbott Road near Highmark Stadium.
Authorities said a dark-colored GMC Sierra approached deputies directing traffic. Despite being instructed to turn, the driver, described as a bearded white male, ignored commands and hit one deputy. After briefly stopping, the driver allegedly fled west on Big Tree Road, striking a second deputy.
The deputies showed no visible injuries but were treated on-site by AMR personnel as a precaution. Officials reported the driver exhibited signs of intoxication before fleeing.
