Rochester Hills, MI – A Rochester Hills doctor is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly using hidden cameras to record nude images and videos of unsuspecting children and women over a span of at least six years.

Dr. Oumair Aejaz, 40, was arraigned on a $2 million bond on August 13, facing 10 felony charges, including alleged child sexually abusive activity and capturing nude images of children under the age of 18. Aejaz, who specializes in internal medicine, is accused of allegedly installing cameras in hospital rooms, changing areas, and even at a local swim club. The recorded footage allegedly includes vulnerable patients, hospital employees, and family members.

According to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, the investigation began following a tip received on August 7. Detectives allegedly uncovered over 13,000 videos stored on multiple devices found in Aejaz’s home. Bouchard described the case as one of the most “disturbing” he has encountered, with investigators expecting the scope of the case to widen beyond Oakland County.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who may have been a victim to come forward. Prosecutors and investigators are determined to hold Aejaz fully accountable for his alleged crimes, emphasizing the severe breach of trust and privacy inflicted on the victims.
