DeSoto Parish, LA – Louisiana State Police Troop G issued a travel advisory Wednesday morning following a vehicle crash that shut down I-49 northbound near Milepost 162 in DeSoto Parish.
According to troopers, the crash has forced a full closure of the northbound lanes. All northbound traffic is currently being diverted to Exit 155 onto LA-1 while crews work to reopen the highway.
Authorities are urging drivers to expect significant delays and to use alternate routes if possible. “Troopers are on scene working to open the roadway as quickly and safely as possible,” the agency said in its statement.
