Sisters, Oregon – A Sisters man was arrested in connection with a series of stolen vehicle and burglary investigations across Central Oregon, authorities said.

According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, Blake Mogan, 36, of Sisters, was taken into custody following multiple investigations spanning December 2025 through February 2026. The cases involve heavy equipment, utility vehicles and other property reported stolen in Sisters, Redmond and Bend.

Deputies first encountered Mogan on December 9, 2025, when he was arrested in Redmond after allegedly operating a stolen construction loader taken from a nearby job site. Authorities said that incident prompted a broader investigation into thefts with similar methods.

On February 17, deputies located an abandoned and heavily damaged Sisters School District Suburban on Buckhorn Road. Investigators said evidence recovered from the vehicle, along with onboard video footage, allegedly identified Mogan as responsible for unlawfully entering the district’s transportation building and taking the vehicle.

On February 23, deputies responded to a report of a stolen City of Sisters F-450 crane truck. The vehicle was later located on a forest road northwest of Sisters. Mogan was contacted and taken into custody without incident. A stolen utility trailer was also recovered during the investigation.

Authorities said Mogan allegedly admitted involvement in multiple vehicle thefts, including cases under review by the Sheriff’s Office, Bend Police Department and Black Butte Police Department.

He was lodged at the Deschutes County Adult Jail on charges including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, burglary in the second degree, theft in the first degree, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and driving while suspended. He also faces a parole violation detainer.

The investigations remain ongoing, and additional charges may follow.
