Tulsa, OK – A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for parts of Oklahoma, impacting visibility and travel conditions from midnight Sunday to 9 a.m. Monday. Drivers are urged to take precautions as visibility is expected to drop to a quarter mile or less in dense fog across much of the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, the advisory covers portions of eastern Oklahoma, including cities such as Tulsa, Muskogee, and McAlester. The advisory also extends to central and southeastern areas, including Oklahoma City, Norman, and Durant, as reported by the NWS Norman office. Rapidly changing visibility during the morning commute could create hazardous driving conditions.

Residents are advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain extra distance between vehicles. The fog is anticipated to lift gradually after 9 a.m. as temperatures warm and visibility improves.

Travelers are encouraged to check for updates and allow extra time for their morning commutes.
