Aberdeen, SD – The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for several counties in central South Dakota, including Campbell, Edmunds, Faulk, McPherson, Potter, and Walworth. The advisory remains in effect until noon CST today.

According to the advisory, visibility is expected to drop to one-quarter mile or less in affected areas due to dense fog. Combined with freezing temperatures, the fog may lead to icy patches on roads, creating hazardous driving conditions.

Drivers are urged to slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra distance between vehicles to stay safe. Authorities advise caution, particularly on bridges, overpasses, and less-traveled roads where icy conditions may be more pronounced.
