Seaford, DE – Authorities are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred early Tuesday morning in Seaford, where a rideshare driver was targeted at a red light.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident happened around 12:56 a.m. on March 18, 2025. The victim, a rideshare driver, was traveling on Concord Road with two female passengers when he stopped at a red light at Concord Road and Sussex Highway. An unknown male suspect exited another vehicle and approached the driver, attempting to take his property.
The situation escalated when one of the female passengers restrained the suspect, preventing him from completing the robbery. A struggle ensued, but the victim managed to keep his belongings. The suspect, along with two others, fled the scene without taking any property. Fortunately, the victim was not injured.
