Newark, DE – A robbery occurred last night at Arby’s in Newark, leaving employees with minor injuries after a suspect sprayed them with a chemical agent. The incident happened around 9:50 p.m. at the Arby’s located in Possum Park Mall.
Delaware State Police revealed that the suspect, described as a black male wearing a black hoodie and ski mask, entered the restaurant and immediately went behind the counter. He sprayed a chemical agent on an employee and then forced another employee into a different area of the restaurant. The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money from a safe before fleeing on foot.
Troopers responded swiftly but were unable to locate the suspect. Delaware State Police Troop 2 continues to investigate the robbery and seeks the public’s assistance.
