Smyrna, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a road rage shooting that occurred Friday night on Route 1 in Smyrna, leaving a vehicle damaged but no injuries reported.
According to authorities, the incident took place on March 14, 2025, at approximately 8:43 p.m. near Exit 119 on Route 1 southbound. A black Infiniti sedan was reportedly involved in a road rage altercation with a black pickup truck. During the dispute, the suspect vehicle collided with the rear of the Infiniti before pulling alongside it. An unknown suspect then discharged a firearm, striking the Infiniti.
The driver of the Infiniti, a 27-year-old Delaware man, and two passengers inside the vehicle were not injured. The suspect vehicle did not stop and continued traveling south on Route 1.
Police have not released additional details about the suspect or the vehicle at this time.
